Stecy is passionate about promoting educational equity in K-8 Philadelphia schools. She serves her communities through educational instructional both through direct student work and by providing opportunities for professional development to teachers. Stecy centers her teaching and learning practices in care and joy, believing that both students and educators can honor their goals when they are given the tools and space to do so. 

Stecy holds a B.A. in sociology from Bard College with a concentration in science, technology, society and experimental humanities. Outside of education, Stecy is equally passionate about food and comedy.
