Bella has a wide variety of experience in the field of education including curriculum development, outdoor education, and Zoom tutoring. The common thread between these experiences for Bella is that connecting with and empowering young learners fills her with energy and hope for more liberated futures. In creating and implementing engaging educational programming that incorporates art, movement, and connection she has seen first-hand how affirming student identities and interests can allow students to be invested in their own learning journeys. Bella understands that her students teach her just as much, if not more than she teaches them.

Bella is a recent graduate from Wesleyan University where she earned a BA in Environmental Studies and a BA in Science Technology Studies. When not working with students or volunteers, Bella is likely taking a long walk in the Woodlands or reading on her Kindle. She is thrilled to join the Achieve Now team in their commitment to disrupting cycles of low literacy by empowering young readers in Philadelphia as a Literacy Instructor.
