“I believe that all children should have access to the very best in reading instruction as reading is the key to opening doors for the rest of their lives.”

Perelman Jewish Day School
Emily Cook is the Principal at Perelman Jewish Day School, where she is responsible for the daily operation and program at each center as well as direct supervision of teachers and specialists, schedules, and the school office. Before that, she was the school’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, where she assisted faculty on instruction and professional growth; researched new curricular models and programs; and advised on next steps for the school's curriculum.
Looking for a way to get involved and give back to the Philadelphia community, and believing there is no better way to do that than by supporting children, Emily joined Achieve Now’s board in 2019. Drawing upon her work as an educator, as a professional working with lay leaders, and as a volunteer, Emily endeavors to support Achieve Now’s staff and ensure that the organization continues to grow and thrive.
